MOUNT KIMBIE [DJ-SET]

Change has been the only constant in Mount Kimbie’s world. Since emerging from London’s electronic underground, Kai Campos and Dominic Maker have spent more than fifteen years shapeshifting without ever losing their place at the forefront of adventurous electronic music. The skeletal post-dubstep of landmark debut "Crooks & Lovers" gradually opened up to post-punk, ambient music, R&B and hip-hop, before 2024’s "The Sunset Violent" transformed Mount Kimbie once again into a full band immersed in distorted guitars, shoegaze and post-rock. Their latest turn brings them back towards the dancefloor. This summer’s "fabric presents Mount Kimbie" is a direct, club-focused DJ mix built largely from tracks that have become fixtures in their sets, moving through deep techno, dub and fractured rhythms while introducing two new Mount Kimbie tracks of their own: the luminous "Monroe" and garage-inflected "Jomox". It also captures what has made their DJ sets so compelling in recent years: harder, less predictable and firmly rooted in the possibilities of the club. At Mall Call, Mount Kimbie do what they have always done best – follow their curiosity somewhere new.
