Some artists make music. Others seem to inhabit an entirely different reality. DJ Suzy belongs firmly to the latter. The Stockholm artist inhabits a wonderfully peculiar universe where intimate diary entries meet futuristic R&B, fragile pop melodies, ghostly synths and flashes of digital nostalgia. Since her 2023 debut single “Wings”, she's followed her own instincts through the EPs “I'm Still Changing” and “Digital Girl” and the acclaimed 2024 mixtape “Haunted Disc”, releasing independently through her own Kira Krash imprint while working with YEAR0001's management. Her latest single, “so sw33t”, featuring Nourished by Time, offers another glimpse of her long-awaited debut album, “Kira Krash”, arriving in October. Named after her seductive yet destructive alter ego, the album explores the uneasy passage into adulthood through a dreamlike collision of R&B, breakbeats, G-funk basslines and shimmering synths. By the time DJ Suzy takes the stage at Mall Call, Kira Krash will have stepped out of the shadows and into the spotlight.
